Decentralized music network

Music, owned by the people who make it.

Ignixs P2P is a portable Windows music platform for artists, listeners and independent communities. Publish, discover, stream, cache and share permitted music directly across a peer-to-peer network — without relying on one company or one central server.

Artist-first by design

A music platform without a single point of ownership.

Ignixs separates music distribution from the idea that one company must own the server, control the catalogue or sit between artists and listeners.

A

Artists stay in control

Publish releases from your own node, keep ownership of the work, choose streaming and redistribution permissions, and issue verified updates when something changes.

P

Peer-to-peer distribution

Music can move directly between reachable peers. Participating nodes can cache permitted copies so releases remain available beyond the original publisher.

L

Listener tools stay familiar

Browse releases, play tracks instantly, build playlists, save favourites, follow artists and keep a local listening history without handing your activity to a central service.

N

Local or Internet peers

Connect directly to friends on the same network or reach peers across the Internet. Once connected, nodes can learn about more of the network from each other.

B

Bootstrap, not a server

A lightweight public bootstrap file helps a new installation find its first reachable node. It does not store the music catalogue or user accounts.

Resilient availability

Permitted copies can gradually spread across peers, helping music remain reachable even when the original publishing node is offline.

For artists

Release without giving away the network.

Ignixs gives artists a direct publishing path with signed metadata, artwork, release information and permissions travelling alongside the audio.

01
Own your identityYour publishing identity is cryptographic rather than controlled by a central account database.
02
Set permissionsChoose how a release may be streamed, cached or redistributed by participating peers.
03
Publish updatesRevision history preserves what changed while verified signatures identify legitimate updates.
For listeners

Use it like a music app, not a networking project.

Under the hood it is peer-to-peer. On the surface it behaves like a normal desktop music platform.

01
Discover musicBrowse artists, releases, genres and available tracks learned from reachable peers.
02
Play immediatelyStream an available track while Ignixs handles peers, chunks and validation in the background.
03
Keep your own libraryPlaylists, favourites, local cache and listening history remain on your computer.
No central catalogue

Your network starts with one peer.

Ignixs only needs a way to discover the first reachable node. From there, peers can exchange network knowledge and connect you to more available music.

P2P

Connect. Learn. Spread.

The bootstrap file is simply a starting point. It can list one or more public nodes, but it is not the network and it does not hold the music.

  • Connect directly to a known friend or peer.
  • Use a small public bootstrap list to discover an initial node.
  • Learn additional reachable peers from the nodes you connect to.
  • Stream or cache permitted music from whichever peers currently have it available.
  • Continue operating even when any individual publisher or bootstrap endpoint is offline.
Verifiable by default

Trust the release, not the route it took to reach you.

A peer-to-peer network needs to assume that data may arrive through nodes you do not personally know. Ignixs validates the content itself rather than blindly trusting the machine that sent it.

Identity Cryptographic publisher identities Releases can be tied to the artist identity that signed them.
Metadata Signed release information Track details, permissions and updates can be checked for authenticity.
Integrity Content hashes & validated chunks Transferred pieces can be checked before they become trusted local data.
History Immutable revisions Updates create a verifiable chain instead of silently rewriting earlier releases.
How it works

Open the app and join the network.

The networking layer is built into Ignixs. You do not need to install or run a separate server stack.

DownloadGet the portable Windows application and place it wherever you want to run it.
OpenLaunch Ignixs. Your computer becomes a peer node automatically.
ConnectConnect to a friend, a LAN peer or use the public bootstrap list to find the first reachable node.
Listen or publishDiscover music from the network, or publish your own releases with the permissions you choose.
Portable Windows app

No Node.js. No Apache. No Docker. No manual server setup.

Ignixs carries its peer networking inside the desktop application. Download it, open it and connect. There is no separate web server or development environment to configure before you can use the network.
